Bells

I finally picked up my kettlebell again today. Did some snatches. Think I will do a few more. I have been enjoying the upside down pyramid - I do ten reps of snatches with each arm, then go do something else for a couple of minutes. Then nine reps, etc, all the way down to one rep/set. I feel like I have more energy at the end of it if I do it this way instead of a traditional pyramid. This video I'm finding useful. The highpull is new to me. I've been doing my snatches based more on the swings, so this is something that I will be looking into.

Oh no! It's Alan Moore

I really like comics, and here is someone who shares understands one of the legends. Alan Moore is brilliant (Watchmen is one of the greatest books ever written, need to read it again) . I would like to say probably crazy, but from all accounts that I have read he is a really nice guy. I have learned more about British literature reading his League of Extraordinary Gentlemen than I ever did in any class. Please enjoy the movie!

Why I am not carrying my laptop to school anymore...

My neck felt like all of the muscles were destroyed all last week. I started to feel better, so now I finally picked up my bell today. Felt good.

Where I found out about kettlebells, and what they are

Kettlebells are, simply put, Russian dumbbells. They resemble cannonballs with handles. When you are using a kettlebell, you are working your mind, muscles, and heart all at once.

Here is the site I trust. Pavel is amazing. I got to talk to him once. I felt like puking at the time, I had been working out at bit, but it was still awesome!

My first post

It's rather funny that I decided to create a blog with a kettlebell theme, considering I haven't picked mine up in a week. My beautiful calluses are peeling.

I have been walking to school, which is over a mile straight uphill. This would not be so bad, except:
-I lack coordination
-The path was very icy, and not everyone shovels
-There was snow covering the ice...
-My backpack weighed more than my heaviest kettlebell because I brought my laptop.
-There was coffee slowly dripping down my leg (coffee does not go in the side pouches of a backpack)
